Our Services, Rates & Policies

Counseling Experience & Description of Services:

I have been employed in the Human Services field for over 30 years and specifically as a licensed marriage, family and child counselor for the past 22 years. Sessions for marriage counseling generally last between 12 and 25 sessions. I will help you focus on advancing communication skills, values clarification, marital visioning and awareness of interpersonal patterns that have become obstacles to the relationship. Workplace issues (managing stress, employee to employee conflict, critical incidents in the workplace, performance issues and conduct problems) can be addressed either at the work site or on an outpatient basis. The initial assessment session for an individual will usually take one and one half hours. For couples, two separate assessment sessions will be conducted and a third conjoint session will involve a discussion of the findings and recommendations.

Confidentiality and Client Access to Information:

The assessment information, working diagnosis and progress notes are maintained in each client’s file. All records are the sole property of this counselor. All clients have the right to view the information in his or her file. All client information is protected by both state and federal confidentiality laws and may not be released without the expressed written consent of the client (an exception may occur if a court ordered subpoena is issued by a judge and required for a legal proceeding). Client confidentiality may also be broken, if, in the reasonable belief of this counselor, a threat to self or others is suspected, or if elder or child abuse is suspected (per state guidelines and definition).

Rates & Insurance:

Rates, deductibles and co-pays are predetermined by insurance plans. I am in network for the following: BCBS, Aetna, Magellan, Value Options and TriCare. Co-payments are expected at the time of service. I will submit for reimbursement through your insurance plan. A sliding scale is utilized for those who do not have or use an insurance plan.
